Miss Trish, Interim Executive Director

I previously worked at EmBe for 10+ years where I started as an assistant teacher. I taught many age groups over the years before I became the downtown site director. I went on to receive training and continuing education that prepared me for all situations with children and childcare.

I believe working with children and their families is the most rewarding career for me. No two days are the same, and you can start fresh each day.

I have two children, Jahad and Marium, with my husband Ryan and a Yorkie named Nash. We enjoy fishing/ice fishing, camping, travelling (especially to Nashville!), and working on home remodels. My favorite color is blue, and I enjoy grilling and smoking foods all year long.

Miss Lisa, Education Administrator

I am originally from Minnesota and have just recently moved to Sioux Falls and accepted a position at UCP. Before working for UCP, I have done multiple babysitting jobs and have my mom and grandma who have both run daycares. The most exciting part of UCP is seeing the progress children make emotionally and academically.

Miss Kendra, School Age/Pre-K Teacher

Asbury United Methodist

I graduated from Lake Area in 1987 with a degree in child development. I started working for UCP in the fall of 1987. I love working with children because I feel like I’m making a difference in their lives.

Miss Jill, Pre-K Teacher

Asbury United Methodist

With over 30 years of experience working with children with an in-home daycare of 20 years, educational assistant, and daycare preschool teacher my enthusiasm continues to grow as I care for children. Not only do I get to teach about the world around us, they teach me! I love each day as a new opportunity to inspire, laugh, and play as they explore their surroundings.

I love interacting with children. As I teach them patience, they in return give me a new meaning of being patient.

It is important to me to live my life in a way that shows kindness, care, and concern for family and friends and yet have a sense of humor.

Miss Donna, Pre-School Teacher

First United Methodist

I have been with United Childcare and Preschool for 10 years. I have my associates degree in early childhood development and my bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies. I love working with children and helping them grow and learn because they are the key to our future.
